Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. At the age of five years old, she moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled in the Dragon School. At the age of six, Emma realized she would like to be an actress. For a number of years she trained at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theater school, where she learned the art of acting and dancing. From the age of 10 the actress took part in and played the leading role in a number of Stagecoach School plays and productions. In 1999 casting began for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford Theater teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been picked for these roles. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's debut film came with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The film broke records for the opening day sales as well as opening week-end take-offs and was the highest-grossing film in 2001. Film critics praised the film as well as its performances by the three leading actors of the young generation. The Daily Telegraph, a popular British paper, praised her for her performance. Emma later won five awards to honor her role in the movie.
